Associates of the firm have qualified as Barristers and Solicitors of the High Court of Senegal - serving in the two distinct capacities.

Their previous duties were in private legal practice and/or public legal service achieving expertise in the areas of bank financial services and corporate law, the law relating to computers and telecommunications, as well as energy and intellectual property.
The Principal

Justice Adjatay Jephta Ibrahim is a Notary Public of the Republic of Senegal having qualified as a Barrister, Solicitor and Justice of the High and Supreme Court of Senegal in 1989. He is a published author on a book on the custody of financial assets and his academic qualifications include a doctorate in law from the University of Oxford, an LL.M. from the University of Toronto Canada and an LL.B. from the London School of Economics (LSE).

He has worked as a lawyer for the United Nations Office at Geneva, Switzerland, Nigeria, and Uganda and for a leading commercial law firm in Senegal. Immediately before forming Austen-Peters & Co., he worked as a Legal Consultant to the African Development Bank in Dakar Senegal.

His core areas of competence include pensions and securities transactions, telecommunications as well as various aspects of international law.
